Southern Taraba Organizes Civic Reception In Honour of Gov Kefas

The people of Southern Taraba have organized a civic reception in honour of the Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas. The reception ceremony was held at the Government Secondary School, Wukari, attended by dignitaries from across Nigeria. Speaking on the occasion, Governor Agbu Kefas, expressed delight over the honour of his people. He described the occasion as a unifying factor. The Governor took time to highlight the impacts he had made on the zone before he became governor. He said for the past two years, he has noted the concerns and expectations raised by the people and assured them that his administration remains focused on delivering tangible results. Gov. Gov Fintiri Commends Gangwari Ganye At Silver Jubilee Celebration

Ganye, the headquarters of the Chamber Chiefdom, was agog on Saturday as guests from all walks of life converged to celebrate the Gangwari Ganye, Alhaji Dr. Umaru Adamu Sanda, on the occasion of his 25th anniversary on the throne. The royal father ascended the throne on April 7, 2000, following his unanimous election by the kingmakers and subsequent appointment by the government. He was elevated from second-class to first-class status on December 4, 2004. Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri acknowledged that the Gangwari Ganye has rendered purposeful service to his people, upheld the rich cultural heritage of the Chiefdom, and fostered peace and unity. “Your reign has been a beacon of stability and progress. Business mogul and chairman of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has said Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri’s style of leadership has made the state a safe haven for investment. Dangote, who is Africa’s richest man, spoke on Friday at Government House, Yenagoa, during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between his firm and the state government on investments in various sectors. Zamfara Security Has Improved, Says Gov. Lawal During Historic Peace Walk

Governor Dauda Lawal has said that the security situation in Zamfara State has significantly improved. The government organized a match on Thursday, tagged 'Walk for peace' to commemorate the second anniversary of Governor Lawal's administration. A statement by the governor's spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, disclosed that the peace walk was organized to promote peace and encourage people to unite against all forms of criminality. The statement noted that the peace walk began at the government house and proceeded to Freedom Square, located in the center of Gusau, the state capital. 6th Anniversary: Gov Fintiri Flags Off Construction of International Conference Centre In Yola

As part of activities marking his sixth anniversary in office, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Thursday, May 29, 2025, performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of an ultramodern International Conference and Event Centre in Yola. The contract, valued at ₦18.972 billion, was awarded to Messrs Lubell Nigeria Limited. Once completed, the state-of-the-art facility is expected to serve as a hub for investors, boost internally generated revenue, and create employment opportunities across the state. The Centre will include a 1,000-seat multipurpose hall, syndicate rooms, a 360-capacity auditorium, a 100-seat seminar room, a pre-function area, restaurants, cafés, kitchen and catering services, retail outlets, a medical support unit, security infrastructure, CCTV operations, and landscaped areas.
