Taraba International Investment Summit Committee Stages Road Walk to Create Awareness
In preparation for the upcoming Taraba International Investment Summit, the Main Organizing Committee held a road walk aimed at creating awareness and demonstrating the state’s readiness for the event.
The road walk began at the Ministry of Works roundabout and terminated at the TY Danjuma House in Jalingo, where the state Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, addressed the participants.
Scheduled for May 21, 2025, the Taraba International Investment Summit is anticipated to attract significant interest, prompting the Organizing Committees and key stakeholders in the state to engage in this awareness initiative.
The road walk, tagged TARAVEST Walk for Life, highlighted the state's peaceful environment, showing the international community that Taraba is prepared for the summit.
During his address at the TY Danjuma House, Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas emphasized that the summit will focus on attracting investors in various sectors, including agriculture, mining, tourism, and energy. He stated that Taraba is open for business and confident in its abundant natural resources, which can be leveraged by potential investors.
The Governor also noted that several countries have shown interest in participating in the summit, with President Bola Ahmed expected to attend as the Guest of Honour.
Dr. Kefas encouraged the citizens of Taraba to extend hospitality and tolerance to all visitors during the event.
The Chairman of the Main Committee, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, added that the road walk aimed to demonstrate the community's willingness to welcome investors. He underscored the importance of the event in showcasing the state's peaceful atmosphere and readiness to host the summit.
Several dignitaries also delivered goodwill messages at the event.
The Taraba International Investment Summit is set to take place on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.
