E-registration PDP Committee Outlines Strategy

The People's Democratic Party e-registration Committee has met for the second time in one month to discuss modalities on how to accomplish the e-registration process. 

At it's meeting in Abuja chaired by Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State with Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State as Deputy Chairman and other members in attendance, the committee was briefed by the Technical Partners and Consultants on strategies to be adopted to achieve results. 

At its inaugural meeting last week, Chairman of the Committee and Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki reminded the members of its mandate to expand the membership base taking advantage of the IT platform being structured by the party. 

The committee agreed to not only deploy technology in doing that, but to also ensure training of personnel for optimal performance. 

It would be that PDP decided to adopt e-registration as the best option in a fast changing technology age.

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities. He said the contracts included the design and construction of flyover bridge at Enerhen junction to Marine Gate; study, design and construction of road expansion and improvement works on the section of the DSC/NPA Expressway from Effurun roundabout to DSC roundabout including construction of a 3/4 Cloverleaf interchange at the existing Effurun Flyover Bridge as well as two pedestrian bridges.
