Adamawa Governor Rejigs Executive Council

Six Commissioners Swap Positions

The Governor of Adamawa state, Rt. Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has rejigged the Executive Council of the state for optimum performance, while approving the swapping of positions for six commissioners.


In a minor cabinet reshuffle of the Adamawa State Executive Council, effected shortly after his return to the state from Uyo, Akwa Ibom state where he attended the PDP Governor’s Forum and the visit to Asaba, Delta state where he commissioned a 120- bed hospital in the state capital.  

In a Press release issued by Humwashi Wonosikou, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Six Commissioners are to swap positions from their present posts. The effected Commissioners include, Sanusi Farouk Jauro who until now was Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development. He moves to Special Duties, Mohammed Umar moves from Local Government Affairs to Ministry of Land and Survey, while Ibrahim Mijinyawa moves to replace him at the Ministry of Local Government Affairs. 

The Governor also moved Alloysius Babadoke, from Special Duties to Youth and Sport Development. Honourable Umar Daware and Dr Dishi Khobe are to swap positions.  Daware moves the Ministry of Agriculture, while Dr Dishi Khobe takes over Ministry of Tertiary and Professional Education as Commissioner. 

According to the Governor, redeployments are intended to create a new vigour and vitality for effective service delivery which has been the hallmark of the Government of the Rt.Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. 

As the redeployment and postings also takes immediate effect, the Governor while wishing them well in their new Ministries, directed them to hand-over and move to their new postings without delay.
