Tambuwal: PDP Govs Determined To Rescue Nigeria
Governors under the aegis of the People's Democratic Party (PDP-GF) have reiterated their commitment to salvage the country from the current economic doldrums, insecurity and other challenges it is currently facing.
The Chairman of the PDP-GF, Gov. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state made this known Sunday night at a State banquet in honour of himself and seven of his counterparts as well as the Deputy Governor of Zamfara state, Barrister Mahdi Aliyu Gusau by Gov. Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom state at Government House, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The gala night, hosted by Gov Udom, which took place ahead of the PDP-GF meeting also to be held today in Uyo, had in attendance the governors of Adamawa, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Enugu, Rivers, Taraba and the Director-General of the PDP-GF, CID Maduabum.Also at the banquet were the former governor of Akwa Ibom state, Arch. Obong Victor Attah and Prelate Sunday Mbang.
Taking cue from performances by the 'AKS Young Professionals' and the 'Ekimini Cultural Troupe,' at the glitzy gig, Gov. Tambuwal said: "these are a summary of what is happening in Nigeria."
And, "should the PDP come into power in 2023, "these star-studded leaders of good governance are determined to rescue Nigeria," the governor assured.
Also at the banquet were the former governor of Akwa Ibom state, Arch. Obong Victor Attah and Prelate Sunday Mbang.

He added that the PDP Governors are "prepared to provide the path of another leadership in 2023 as there is a lot of despondency in the polity.
The governor appealed to "the Clergy and those in the spiritual realm" to pray for the country as recent events shows that there is a gap in the leadership and direction of the country.
