...Calls for the Exploration and Exploitation of Tourism Opportunities in Bayelsa 

"I commend and appreciate you the organizers, especially our brother and son of the soil who is the lead organizer, Mr. Daniel Opuene, and also my Rep, Prof. Steve Azaiki, for choosing Bayelsa for this event, to showcase the State in a positive light.

I welcome you all to Bayelsa, the home of hospitality and tourism as Bayelsa is one place that you will live and there will be no discrimination irrespective of where you come from or religion you practice, provided you live by the laws governing the State, and our country.

Bayelsa is one place that if the State and Federal Governments develop tourist sites and tourism in Nigeria, it will be an income spinning State for the Federal Government, and indeed the State Government. And so, let me use this medium to call on private individuals, companies, cooperate bodies to explore and exploit the abundant tourism opportunities in Bayelsa State, and make Bayelsa a tourist haven.

For us as a government, we are prepared to partner with private bodies in terms of Public Private Partnership."

Governor Fintiri reaffirms prioritization of infrastructure, welfare

 ...inspects ongoing renovation of Courts Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri says his administration is giving priority to infrastructure and welfare improvements across key sectors, including the judiciary, legislature, and civil service, to boost productivity and comfort. He stated this when he inspected the ongoing renovation at the Customary Court and High Court in Yola. The Governor said his administration is determined to provide every sector with the right facilities so that workers can deliver their best. He explained that the judiciary, being one of the three arms of government, is receiving special attention with the provision of modern and comfortable office spaces.
