Fintiri Reaffirms His Support For The NIPR In Addressing The Threat Of Insecurity And Cohesion
"Concerned about the country's current issues, the Adamawa administration reiterates its support for groups such as the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) in battling the threat of insecurity and lack of cohesion."
Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Adamawa Governor, stated this at the Admiral Nyako Hall, State Secretariat Yola, during a one-day Citizens Summit on National Integration, Peace, and Security organized by the NIPR Adamawa State Chapter.
He stated that the current administration has increased its efforts to solve the difficult situation that the state has, emphasizing that a lack of cohesion and integration is a huge danger to peace and security.Governor Fintiri thanks the security services for their assistance in dealing with critical issues and dangers, noting that the rule of crime wherever in the globe is an assault on mankind.
He also stated that the government is prepared to continue to employ best practices in addressing instability and marginalization, which are the root causes of the majority of community conflicts, in order to ensure peace.
"Pressing concerns and threats continue to confront our state and country. There is no way that any declaration made at this Summit will be sufficient to address the full scope of these issues.""People turn to us as leaders to bring hope in times of crisis, to guide them through complicated socio-political divisions, and to make the world a better place."
"We have responsibilities to the current generation. Still, we have a greater responsibility to future generations who will one day inherit Adamawa's state of sufficiency, regardless of their birth circumstances or where they live.'
He stated that Adamawa has seen its fair share of conflicts in recent years, particularly in Numan, Lamurde, Guyuk, and Song, and that his administration's dedication to long-term peace and security will help us achieve our much-needed economic and infrastructure development.According to Muhammad Inuwa Basi, the coordinator of the Adamawa NIPR summit, the situation in the country has deteriorated to the point where trust is becoming scarce even among families and communities.
The event, according to NIPR State Chairman, Alhaji Ahmad Usman Dada, is a reaction to the national secretariat's demand that each state host its chapter summit.
Muhammad El-Yakub, the summit's chairman and Managing Director of Gotel Communications Yola, stated that the summit will have a significant impact on the people of Adamawa in a variety of ways.
Professor Abubakar Abba Tahir, the State Chairman of the Summit's Organising Committee, had earlier expressed worry about the difficulties of banditry, abduction, and secessionist agitations in the country.
Participants at the summit are likely to discuss national unity, peace, and stability, as well as creating trust as a cornerstone for Nigeria's revival.
