Gov Ortom Felicitates With Sen Suswam at 57

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, on behalf of the Government and people of the State, congratulates Senator Gabriel Suswam, PhD, who represents Benue North-East Senatorial District at the National Assembly on his 57th birthday.  

The Governor prays for God’s sustained blessings upon Senator Suswam and his family to enable him to continue to serve the country at all times.  

He says the contributions of Senator Suswam to nation-building is exemplary given his strides as a seasoned Parliamentarian in the House of Representatives, Governor and now Senator.  

Governor Ortom says the experience of Senator Suswam is very critical now that Nigeria's unity is threatened by activities of elements who are bent on bringing the country to her knees.

He prays God to continue to bless Suswam as he celebrates his new age and believes that this will usher in a fresh start for a greater and positive exploit.

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities. He said the contracts included the design and construction of flyover bridge at Enerhen junction to Marine Gate; study, design and construction of road expansion and improvement works on the section of the DSC/NPA Expressway from Effurun roundabout to DSC roundabout including construction of a 3/4 Cloverleaf interchange at the existing Effurun Flyover Bridge as well as two pedestrian bridges.
