Illegal structures built on government layouts will be demolished in Adamawa - Gov. Fintiri

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Monday inspected the ongoing Phillip Maken, Karewa Maskare road.

The Action Governor speaking shortly with journalists after the inspection said that he was provoked to visit the site and find out for himself upon receiving a report on the progress of work.

He frowned at the way some people erect buildings thus blocking government roads, expressing his administration's willingness to take drastic action to ensure the provision of access roads to the people.

He disclosed that he is left with no option other than to demolish illegal structures erected on government layouts as the administration is ready to construct more road networks, especially in the state capital.

Governor Fintiri while regretting the attitude of some landlords noted that work at the construction site was halted following the illegal construction of a building on the road, thus denying the contractors access to the site.

Fintiri promised the public that his administration will continue to make people happy by prioritizing Infrastructure and their well-being with state resources.

The Governor was accompanied to the inspection site by the SSG Mallam Bashir Ahmad, Chief of Staff Government House Yola, Professor Maxwell Gidado among other top government officials.
