Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri Inspects Work on Grade Interchange, Vows To Construct Another Flyover in Yola
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Wednesday inspected the progress and level of work on the Grade Interchange and Underpass projects at the former Police Roundabout and promised to construct another flyover bridge in the state capital before the completion of his tenure in office, with that Adamawa State will swank in the North East that it is the only State to have three flyovers comity of Fintiri regime.
The Governor revealed this when granted an interview with a journalist immediately after inspecting work on the grade interchange and underpass in Yola which has attained a progressive stage of accomplishment.
He acclaimed the progress and quality of the work and vowed that his administration will continue to provide purposeful leadership for the betterment of the lives of the people.
“The whole job is excellent and our people are happy about it. We will continue to provide such edifice that will ease the lives of the people by fulfilling our mandate along the way.”“We are cutting wastages and deploying resources into the appropriate channel. We are doing this to revive the state from the suffering we went through such as insurgency and other criminality in the state,” the Governor said.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri thanked the good people of Adamawa for supporting and rallying around his administration and emphasized that the government will continue to focus its developmental programmes and projects for the betterment of its citizenry.
On the critique and fault finding by some members of the opposition party, APC against government developmental projects, Governor Fintiri maintained that the state has no opposition but noisemakers. "I will continue to tell you that we have noisemakers in the State as far as we are concerned. There is no opposition in the State and I don't see them. I must assure you that there are only people that make noise" Fintiri said.
He added that they lost focus when they governed the state as they failed to take advantage and make use of their tenure to change the lives of the people and put the state on the pedestals of development.
“They were given this opportunity that they could not utilize. They didn’t even look at this State first for anything. We are here less than three years and people could see something tangible and meaningful projects on the ground,” he added.
The Commissioner of Works and Energy, Hon. Adams Atiku, said the grade interchange and underpass project is ninety percent (90%) completion and revealed that hopefully it will be completed before the 2021 year runs out.
The Managing Director of Triacta Nigeria Limited, 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙧. 𝙀𝙡𝙞𝙚 𝘼𝙗𝙪 𝙁𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙩, said the projects will be completed within the timeframe while the company will ensure the quality of the work.
