Gov. Fintiri Attends Late Aminu's 3-Day Fida'u Prayer

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri attended a Fida'u prayer in Yola town on Thursday in honour of Alhaji Muhammad Aminu, the first Registrar of Modibbo Adama University (MAU) Yola.

The Governor, who was joined by the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Bashir Ahmad, and other top government officials, termed the elder state man's death as a major loss to the people of Adamawa and Nigeria.

He said the late Aminu will be much missed not only by the grieving family but also by the people of Adamawa as a whole, and prayed to God to grant the deceased's soul eternal rest and the family the strength to bear the unreparable loss.
During the condolence visit, the Governor was greeted by Galadima Adamawa Alhaji Mustafa Aminu and other members of the immediate family, who thanked him for empathizing with the grieving family.

Late Alhaji Muhammadu Aminu died on Monday this week in Abuja at the age of 76, following a brief illness. He is survived by a wife, several children, grandchildren, and siblings.

Various Islamic Scholars offered special prayers for the deceased.
