Gov Ortom Salutes Sen Iyorchia Ayu at 69

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, on behalf of the Government and people of the State, congratulates the National Chairman-elect of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Iyorchia Ayu on his 69th birthday. 

The Governor prays for God’s blessings upon Senator Ayu to enable him continue to serve the country, particularly now that the task of leading the PDP falls on him at a time that Nigeria is at a crossroad, facing grave existential threats from activities of the terrorist's herdsmen and unsavoury actions of the current APC-led Federal Government. 

He says that given the experience and wide contacts and calm leadership disposition of the former President of the Senate, he is convinced that Nigeria will benefit from his leadership to retrieve the country from the throes of disunity and position it for the benefit of this and future generations. 

He prays that God will continue to bless Dr. Ayu and give him more wisdom as he celebrates a joyful birthday and prosperous new year.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families. Announcing the donation at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House, Little Rayfield, the First Lady said that government is concerned about their plight.  Senator Oluremi Tinubu expressed her deep concern for the victims, stating that the news of the deteriorating security situation in Mangu Local Government Area on May 15, 2023, had deeply saddened her.  She acknowledged the devastation and despair faced by the affected communities, with destroyed homes and disrupted sources of livelihood.
