COMMUNIQUE ISSUED BY THE PDP GOVERNORS' FORUM AT THE END OF THEIR MEETING (VIRTUAL) HELD ON THE 14TH OCTOBER 2024 AND MEETING WITH THE NWC OF THE PARTY ON 15TH OCTOBER, 2024

The PDP Governors’ Forum, PDPGF, held an emergency meeting on Monday, 14th October, 2024, led by its Chairman/Governor of Bauchi State, His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed CON.


The leadership of the Forum equally held another meeting today, Tuesday, 15th October with the leadership of the party's NWC.

Based on the decision of the Forum and in meeting and consultations with the Board of Trustees, NWC and other organs of the party, we hereby resolve as follows;

1. That the organs of the party were careful in addressing issues particularly those over which there were pending legal disputations.

2. That the NWC should revert to the status quo and remain united in the interest of the party and the nation.

3. That all suspensions issued on officials across the parties within the NWC have been lifted forthwith.

4. That there are no factions in the party and minor issues should not be blown out of proportion.

5. We also urge that occupants of positions of responsibility should be mindful of their vow to serve and grow the Party from strength to strength, consolidating on the dreams of our founding fathers.

Education Remains a Top Priority of Our Policy Thrust: Gov. Fubara

The Rivers State Government says it will continue to place education as one of the top most priorities of its policy thrust. Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara stated this during the 34th Convocation Ceremony of the University of Port Harcourt on Saturday 24th February, 2024. Governor Mutfwang Crowns New Ngolong Ngas, HRH Nde Jika Golit

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has performed the coronation of the New Ngolong Ngas, Nde Jika Golit. The ceremony is coming nine years after the demise of the late Ngolong Ngas, Nde Joshua Dimlong. Governor Mutfwang, who performed the presentation of staff of office and certificate to the New Ngolong Ngas at the Pankshin Township Stadium, praised the Ngas Nation for a rancor-free selection process of the new Ngolong Ngas. He warned mischief makers against needless court actions that are capable of delaying or frustrating the selection and installation of traditional rulers in the state.
