PDP Governors Felicitate Gov Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at 57

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) led by its  Chairman, H. E. Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohamed CON and Governor of Bauchi State, on behalf of his colleague Governors, felicitates with the celebrant, H.E. Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri  CON, Governor of Adamawa State, as he turns 57 years today. 

The Forum joins his family and friends to give  thanks to the Almighty God for the immeasurable love and care He has showered on him; the guidance and protection in his public life which has enabled him render life-impacting service to people in the state, the Northeast region and the nation at large. 

The Forum is proud of his capacity to  deliver seamless service when called upon as recently witnessed during the build-up to the 2024 Edo gubernatorial election, where he led the PDP National Campaign Council as chairman, to affirm the people's decisive choice in the Asue Ighodalo-Osarodion Ogie candidacy.

By visionary leadership, he has transformed the Adamawa landscape and also touched the lives of the people through projects and programs in various sectors - urban and rural road networks, intervention in the transport sector, agriculture and agro-based processing, modern sports infrastructure, mass housing, trade and investment, youth and women empowerment.

He has delivered infrastructure upgrade and service reforms in  healthcare, education, rural electrification, and water provision, and equally prioritized worker's welfare, among others.

We pray that the Almighty God grant him more wisdom and grace to lead his people, as they at home and abroad, join him in this celebration.

The Forum assures him of its unalloyed support and brotherly cooperation always.

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities. He said the contracts included the design and construction of flyover bridge at Enerhen junction to Marine Gate; study, design and construction of road expansion and improvement works on the section of the DSC/NPA Expressway from Effurun roundabout to DSC roundabout including construction of a 3/4 Cloverleaf interchange at the existing Effurun Flyover Bridge as well as two pedestrian bridges.
