PDP Governors' Forum Consoles H.E. Senator Ahmed Makarfi on the Demise of Son, Faisal

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors' Forum, PDP-GF, under the chairmanship of His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed [CON] and Governor of Bauchi State on behalf of his colleague Governors deeply sympathizes with H.E Senator Ahmed Makarfi CON, former Governor of Kaduna State, past caretaker national  chairman of the PDP and the incumbent Secretary PDP Board of Trustees (BOT), family, friends and the good people of Kaduna State, on the tragic death of his son, Faisal Makarfi, in an accident that happened along Kaduna-Zaria highway on Saturday evening.

At this moment of grief, the Forum joins the Makarfi-family in prayer to the Almighty Allah for the repose of his humble soul, and for fortitude to get over this irreparable loss.

He has gone too soon, and it indeed touches our hearts how he had lived and passionately utilized the opportunities that each day presented, taking nothing for granted.

Faisal was a civil engineer by training; he  attended Kaduna International School and then proceeded to Adesoye College, Offa, Kwara State for his secondary education. Thereafter, he attended the University of Greenwich, London, for undergraduate and Master’s degree and thereafter enrolled for PhD at the same institution.


Once again, we all express our sincerest condolences.

Education Remains a Top Priority of Our Policy Thrust: Gov. Fubara

The Rivers State Government says it will continue to place education as one of the top most priorities of its policy thrust. Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara stated this during the 34th Convocation Ceremony of the University of Port Harcourt on Saturday 24th February, 2024. Governor Mutfwang Crowns New Ngolong Ngas, HRH Nde Jika Golit

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has performed the coronation of the New Ngolong Ngas, Nde Jika Golit. The ceremony is coming nine years after the demise of the late Ngolong Ngas, Nde Joshua Dimlong. Governor Mutfwang, who performed the presentation of staff of office and certificate to the New Ngolong Ngas at the Pankshin Township Stadium, praised the Ngas Nation for a rancor-free selection process of the new Ngolong Ngas. He warned mischief makers against needless court actions that are capable of delaying or frustrating the selection and installation of traditional rulers in the state.
