Governor Agbu Kefas Attends Thanksgiving Service in Wukari.

The Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas, on Sunday, March 2, 2025 attended a joint Thanksgiving service held in Wukari by Senator David Jimkuta, who represents Southern Taraba at the National Assembly, and Chief David Sabo Kente, who celebrated his 60th birthday.

Senator Jimkuta, on the occasion, expressed his gratitude to God for the guidance and support he has received throughout his life and political journey, while Chief Kente reflected on his six decades of life and service, appreciating the blessings he has experienced.

The event took place at CRC-N Kinkisu in Wukari, where the atmosphere was vibrant with praise and worship. 

Governor Agbu Kefas joined Senator Jimkuta and Chief Kente in this celebration, recognizing their contributions and devotion to their community.

Governor Kefas commended Senator Jimkuta for the positive impact he is making in his role as a legislator.

He also praised Chief David Kente for his unwavering commitment to serving humanity. The Governor highlighted that reaching the age of 60 is not only a milestone but also an opportunity for reflection, encouraging Chief Kente to continue making significant contributions to the lives of others and to prioritize mentorship for the younger generation.

During his address, Governor Kefas announced plans to establish a general hospital in Wukari and urged Chief Kente to consider donating land for this important project and it will be named in his honour.

Senator Jimkuta, in his message of thanksgiving, credited God for his political success amidst various challenges, stating that he has witnessed God's hand in his life.

Chief David Sabo Kente, a notable politician and philanthropist, stated that his 60th birthday celebration included various charitable activities, such as securing the release of 15 prisoners and visiting the Federal University Teaching Hospital Wukari and local orphanages to share love and support with those in need. 

He expressed heartfelt appreciation to Governor Kefas for attending the service despite his busy schedule.

The sermon, titled "Give Thanks to God, He Reigns," was delivered by Rev. Dr. Isaiah Jirapye Magaji, President of CRC-N. He emphasized the importance of thanksgiving as an act of worship and a recognition of God's goodness, asserting that appreciating God is essential for sustaining His blessings in our lives. 

He encouraged leaders to prioritize service delivery as a form of divine service.

Goodwill messages were shared by esteemed dignitaries, including the Chairman of the Council of Chiefs and Emirs, the Aku Uka, His Royal Majesty Dr. Ishaku Adda Ali, His Royal Highness Amb Sanvala Verzoa Shimbura, the Gara Donga, and Barrister Sopiya Ahmadu Gboshi, Chief of Takum. 

They expressed gratitude to both celebrants for their dedicated service to humanity.

The service concluded with special prayers for Senator Jimkuta and Chief Kente, invoking divine blessings, strength, and courage for the years ahead. 

The Thanksgiving service attracted numerous dignitaries, underscoring the strong community support and recognition for both leaders.
