Taraba Governor Partners with Banks, Demands Transparency in Development Initiatives
The Governor of Taraba state, Dr Agbu Kefas, has reaffirmed his administration's resolve to work closely with Banks and any institution that will support the development initiative of the state government.
The Governor gave the assurance when the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank paid him a courtesy visit at the TY Danjuma Jalingo.
Receiving the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank and his team on a courtesy visit, Dr Agbu Kefas extended his condolences on the passing away of the bank’s Chairman, acknowledging that the institution was built on a strong foundation.
The Governor commended the branch Manager of the bank in Jalingo, for their outstanding work and added that any financial institution willing to support the state’s development is welcome.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank Nigeria, Mr Ogbonna Roosevelt, highlighted that Access Bank is the largest bank and the first Nigerian bank to operate in Hong Kong and in some countries.
He noted that Access Bank has been actively collaborating with the state government and has significantly impacted the lives of its customers.
Roosevelt assured the government of the bank’s continued commitment to working closely with the state to drive economic growth and Development.
Similarly, the Governor met with Coordinators of various World Bank intervention programmes in the state.
The Governor warned that any intervention coming to the state must be transparent and properly utilized and said any coordinator that is found wanting will be dealt with or have the programme terminated.
The meeting with the coordinators of intervention programmes later went into a closed-door session.
