Governor Agbu Kefas Reaffirms Commitment to Security and Stability in Taraba State
Governor Dr Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has reiterated his administration's steadfast commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the lives and properties of the people.
The Governor stated this on the 28th of February 2025 in Jalingo, when the General Officer Commanding the Third Armoured Division and Commander of Operation Safe Heaven, Major General Eyitayo Oyinlola, paid him a courtesy visit.
Governor Kefas emphasized his vision for a stable Taraba State where citizens can carry out their activities smoothly, thus fostering an environment that attracts investors.
He credited the prevailing peace in the state to the effective cooperation and collaboration between military forces and various security agencies.
Expressing his trust in Major General Oyinlola's capabilities, the Governor called on him to leverage his extensive experience to further strengthen security efforts in the region.
In response, Major General Oyinlola highlighted the purpose of his visit, which aimed to deepen his understanding of the state's dynamics under his division's jurisdiction.
He expressed his commitment to building a robust partnership with the Taraba state government and its people.
The meeting was also attended by key figures including the Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt Hon John Kizito Bonzena; Chief Judge, Justice Filibus Joel Agya; members of the State Executive Council; Secretary to the Government of Taraba State, Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps; Chief of Staff to the Government House, Dr. Jeji Williams; and various other prominent political leaders.
