Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Duoye Diri, has enjoined the people of the State in his  message of care to see beyond the prevailing circumstances and keep their hope in God.

His speech reads:

We celebrate the victory of Christ over death at a time when the world is battling with the  COVID-19 pandemic that is ravaging human freedom and as well her socio-political economy.

But in the midst of all these compounded adversaries and troubles affecting us, we should remain resolute as a State and people in Christ. We  should believe and hold forth to God's words in good faith, that this pandemic shall be over in no distant time.

Once again, let me re-assure you all, the prosperity government's commitment and proactive steps to reconsolidate on the existing principles aimed at preventing the COVID-19 from infecting our people in Bayelsa State.

Therefore, let me in the same spirit re-encourage us to keep on reciprocating the laydown preventive measures such as social distancing, no handshaking, avoid crowd or gatherings, washing of hands with running-clean water and soap, and sanitizing of hands with 60% alcohol based hand sanitizer, etc.

We will continue to render selfless services to encourage an holistic development that will bring to bear critical infrastructures both in human capacity and economic expansion to viably derive the internal sources of our development.

Thank you for believing in prosperity, thank you for understanding the challenging time and season we are in right now.

Long live prosperity government of His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Douye Diri.

Long live the good people of Bayelsa State.

Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families.
