COVID-19: BAUCHI DEPUTY GOV. INSPECTS BORDER CLOSURE DIRECTIVE

The Bauchi State Deputy Governor, Senator Baba Tela, has inspected the closure of the border between the State and Jigawa State.

The press release was made by the Governor's Special Senior Assistant on Media, Comrade Muktar Gidado.

Senator Baba Tela who was on a tour to all the borders across the State, said that the visit is to ensure total compliance on the closure of the borders.

According to Baba Tela, the closure of the State's entering points become necessary so as to prevent further spread of the Coronovirus by travellers.

The Deputy Governor also said the restriction measures in all the borders is imperative considering the increased number of cases recorded in some states.

Senator Baba Tela who led the joint security operatives for the inspection, was accompanied by the Security Adviser and Principal Private Secretary to the Governor, as well as the Deputy Chief of Staff.

From Nasaru, the border between Bauchi and Jigawa, the Deputy Governor also moved to Abisa, another border town in Shira Local Government which is the border between Jama'are and Kiyawa Local Government in Jigawa State to see the level of compliance.
