Bauchi Gov Describes His 62nd Birthday Anniversary As Period For Sober Reflection



--Rededicates his services to people of the state


Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State on Monday as part of his 62nd birthday anniversary, rededicated his services to the people of the state.



The governor was speaking when members of his press crew and Bauchi Decide team  led by the Senior Special Assistant on Media, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado, presented him with a special birthday gift.


Governor Bala Mohammed who expressed delight with the number of birthday messages he received from well wishers, described the celebration as a period for sober reflection. 


"I am happy that today we are celebrating the birthday of my humbleself in a humble way, we thank God for sparing our life to witness the day and for giving us opportunity to serve and therefore I rededicate myself to the service of people of the state."


"I thank all those who wished me happy birthday all over the world, birthday is not an achievement but is a landmark and I believe we should always celebrate the landmark with prayers."


The governor used the medium to call on Nigerians to work together for the progress of the country and call on elites to work for the unity and development of the nation."


 "Nigeria as a whole is not calling for celebration because we the elites have almost failed the country and the people. I think that rather than celebration in October, there is need for us to be praying for Nigeria to progress."


Earlier, the Senior Special Assistant on Media, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado, said the birthday gift is to appreciate all the laudable policies and programmes of the dynamic administration of the governor.


"Your Excellency, as you turn to 62 years, members of your press crew are here to fraternise  and solidarize with you alongside members of Bauchi Decide  team on your birthday anniversary."

Governor Fintiri reaffirms prioritization of infrastructure, welfare
