Gov Fintiri Commissions ICT Centre at the Adamawa State Scholarship Trust Fund

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, visibly happy with the development, stressed that his administration will do everything needed in changing the narrative in the education sector.

Governor Fintiri commended MEWAR University, India for not only granting scholarships to sixty students from Adamawa State to study engineering, but for going a step further to provide the computers and facilities required for a full-fledged ICT centre, so that the students can attend virtual classes in India due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The governor also thanked the Scholarship Trust Fund for working to ensure that Adamawa students who are yet to resume classes in India due to the pandemic are engaged with the institution out of the formal class setting.

He therefore urged the students to take the advantage of this opportunity to prove themselves worthy of their selection.

He also urged each of them to take the advantage of this opportunity as government moves to digitalise its activities as citizens can not afford to be left behind in the global push for e-Governance and digital learning.

Responding, the executive director, Scholarship Trust Fund, Malam Abba Zumo, commended the governor for his giant strides in the education sector.

There were goodwill messages from the parents and the students.
