#EndSARS: Ikpeazu approves inauguration of Judicial Panel of Inquiry

 



Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has approved the inauguration of a Judicial Panel of Inquiry to investigate allegations of extra-judicial killings and brutality by security agents in the state.


The composition of the panel is as follows:

6. Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice (Secretary)

The committee will be inaugurated on Friday, October 23, 2020, at Government House, Umuahia, at 1pm.

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities.
