Gov Ortom Felicitates With Dokpesi at 70

Governor Samuel Ortom, on behalf of the Government and people of Benue State, heartily felicitates with Engr. Raymond Aleogho Dokoesi on his 70th birthday.

The Governor says Chief Dokpesi who is the founder of DAAR Communications Plc, owners of RayPower FM and African Independent Television, AIT has proven that he's a patriotic Nigerian with uncommon faith in project Nigeria, given his huge investment in the economy through his two media outfit.

He says Dokpesi's humble and patriotic zeal influences his decision as a businessman who pioneered private electronic media ownership by taking advantage of the deregulation in that sector which was hitherto the preserve of government.

He says this has given rise to an increased drive by many who now own and drive the industry with the establishment of radio and television channels across the country.

He describes Chief Dokpesi as a detribalised Nigerian, a bridge between the North and south,  particularly because of his maternal roots in the North and father in the south.

Governor Ortom particularly acknowledges the support the AIT and RayPower stations continues to give to the Benue State Government in their news reports of events and coverage of the State.

He prays that God will continue to protect Chief Dokpesi to enable him fulfil his dream for the people of Nigeria and humanity in general.
