PDP Convention Appeals Committee Submits Report

People's Democratic Party National Convention Appeals Committee has submitted its report to the Organising Committee Chairman Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at a brief ceremony in Abuja. 


The Chairman applauded the Committee for conducting a transparent process that further gives credence to the convention organising committee and the readiness of the party to ensure everybody is carried along.

Governor Fintiri who commended the decision of the Court of Appeal Port Harcourt on the conduct of the convention, described it as victory for democracy in Nigeria. 

"I believe that PDP is destined to be that beacon of hope for Nigeria". He said.

Chairman of the Appeals Committee, Senator Ike Ekweremadu noted that it gave complainants fair hearing.

He assured that PDP is on the right path to conducting one of the best Conventions in the history of democracy in Nigeria. 

Senator Ekweremadu believes that there's hope for Nigeria and PDP is positioned to be that change agent.

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities.
