PDP Governors Celebrate Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu at 57

 The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) under the Chairmanship of Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal CFR, the Governor of Sokoto State and other PDP Governors, heartily felicitate with our Forum's Vice Chairman, His Excellency, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu as he turns 57.

The Forum joins his family, friends and entire citizens of Abia State in thanking God for his kindness and blessings on Governor Ikpeazu, and wish him many more years of God’s faithfulness, as he continues to lead the State to greater achievements, in all spheres of development and collective prosperity.


We celebrate you today because you are not only a man of great vision and courage, but a very strong pillar of our Forum and PDP. You represent one of Nigeria’s best in terms of quality of mind and service delivery. 


As an intellectual in government, you have redefined the educational and social delivery dynamics of governance. Indeed, your kinetic Abia programme of action has given hope to Abians that good governance and particularly infrastructural development can be achieved in a holistic manner. 


The Forum is particularly proud to be associated with the many developmental strides, recorded by Governor Ikpeazu, in repositioning the State as truly “God’s Own State” in the past 6 years.


Indeed, you have made the difference for good in Abia State in various areas including education, health, industrialisation, power, roads and power infrastructure, youth and women empowerment, agriculture and water provision, security for lives and property amongst others. We are happy to note that these initiatives have also touched evenly all the zones of the state as demonstrated by “Kinetic Abia inspection and commissioning of projects” which has taken the Governor on a massive projects commissioning spree across the length and breadth of the State, during which over 1000 projects were either commissioned or flagged–off.


We wish you good health, increased wisdom, God's blessings, spiritual and material prosperity as you mark this special day.


 We equally assure you Sir, of our unalloyed support and brotherly cooperation always, as you continue to deliver on your public service mandate.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families. Announcing the donation at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House, Little Rayfield, the First Lady said that government is concerned about their plight.  Senator Oluremi Tinubu expressed her deep concern for the victims, stating that the news of the deteriorating security situation in Mangu Local Government Area on May 15, 2023, had deeply saddened her.  She acknowledged the devastation and despair faced by the affected communities, with destroyed homes and disrupted sources of livelihood.
