Ortom Salutes Muslims at Eid El Maulud

Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has felicitated with the Muslim in the State on the occasion of Eid El Maulud celebration which marks the birth of Prophet Mohammed. 

Governor Ortom charges the Muslim Community in the State to use the celebration of the Eid El Maulud to pray for the peace, security and economic growth of the country. 

The Governor also thanks the Moslem Community in the State for their continued support and cooperation, and tasks them to continue to respect the laws in force in the State. 

He assured them that his administration shall continue to uphold the religious rights of every citizen and provide enabling environment for the sustenance of peace and harmony amongst all those living in Benue State. 

The Governor said he is happy that Benue is free from religious and political crises and said his administration is committed to securing the lives of its citizens. 

The governor enjoined Muslims in the State to offer special prayers for the  peace in the state in particularly and in the nation in general in the face of the current security challenges in different parts of the country. 

Governor Ortom reiterated the irrevocable commitment of his administration in the maintenance of law and order as the government has in collaboration with security agencies taken all the necessary measures to ensure the safety of lives and property of the residents of the State.
