PDP Convention On Course Fintiri

The Chairman of the People's Democratic Party National Convention Organising Committee, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri  says the Party has been vindicated with the judgment of the Court of Appeal in Port Harcourt. 

Addressing Members of the various committees hours before the convention in Abuja, Governor Fintiri said all is set for the process on Saturday. He said the convention is on course.

Governor Fintiri however notes that the Courts decision is victory for democracy and not for any individual or party. 

He commended the various sub committees for working assiduously to ensure the success of the exercise. 

Governor Fintiri stated that the strength of the committee is in its members working together and agreeing on the outcome of the convention. 

He reassured them that their sacrifices will not be in vain having put in so much towards the success of the convention, saying the party is going into Saturdays convention as a happy party using the occasion to put APC on notice that PDP is coming. 

Shortly after the meeting, the Chairman of the Organising Committee Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri alongside his Deputy  Douye Diri of Bayelsa State and the Secretary Governor Oluseyi Makinde inspected the venue of the convention to assess last minute preparations. 

Meanwhile, the three Governors also on Friday visited former President Jonathan  at his family residence in Abuja. 

Former President Jonathan commended the commitment of the main committee to the success of the convention.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families.
