Dr. Agbu Kefas Takes On Grand Patron Role For NANS

Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, has been honoured as the Grand Patron of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) North East Zone, a testament to his unwavering commitment to advancing education in the state.

This prestigious accolade was presented by the National President of NANS, Lucky Omolefe, during a ceremony at the Exco Chamber, TY Danjuma House, in Jalingo, the state capital.

In accepting the honour, Governor Kefas expressed his strong desire to engage with students and mentor them as future leaders. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the youth and seasoned elders to drive meaningful change.

Highlighting the pivotal role of young people as the backbone of the nation, the Governor urged them to work hand-in-hand with the government to make a positive impact in society. 

He reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to youth inclusion, as evidenced by the strategic appointments of young individuals to key positions within his cabinet.

Governor Kefas encouraged students to commit themselves to excellence and to actively contribute to the development of both the state and the nation.

On the subject of education, he made a firm commitment to training and hiring more teachers to enhance the quality of learning in Taraba State.

In  addition, he announced plans to distribute educational materials to students to support their academic endeavours.

Addressing infrastructure challenges, Governor Kefas explained the current absence of a master plan has hindered the launch of major road projects, but he assured the public that construction would commence soon, heralding significant developmental advancements in the near future.

In his remarks, NANS President Lucky Emonefe praised Governor Kefas for his genuine commitment to education, recognizing him as a true advocate for educational revitalization. 

He commended the Governor’s dedication to youth empowerment, declaring him a remarkable role model and an inspiration to young people across the region.
