2025 Vision: Governor Kefas Charts Bold Path for Taraba’s Prosperity in New Year Broadcast

In a powerful message marking the beginning of the year 2025, the Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas, has laid out a bold plan to significantly boost Internally Generated Revenue by capitalizing on the state’s agricultural, mineral, and tourism resources. 

This decisive initiative is aimed at securing a prosperous future for Taraba.

Announcing these plans from the TY Danjuma House in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State, during a compelling New Year broadcast, the Governor underscored the remarkable progress achieved in critical areas such as peace and security, healthcare, education and youth empowerment, infrastructure, agriculture, and food security.

In terms of peace and security, Governor Kefas declared that his administration has fortified security across all 168 wards through the Joint Intelligence Network and the expansion of the Taraba Marshall, ensuring safety for all citizens.

To enhance healthcare, the Governor announced the construction of new healthcare centres that will provide free medical services for children, pregnant women, and vulnerable groups, along with significant investments in maternal health programs.

Governor Kefas is committed to transforming tertiary education by thoroughly reviewing academic programs and staffing to align with contemporary educational standards. 

In agriculture, he stated that farmers will receive robust support with modern farming inputs, and 3,500 metric tons of assorted grains have been procured to distribute to citizens, reinforcing food security.

The Governor also made it clear that promoting justice and good governance is paramount. He will establish legal frameworks, modernize court systems, and promote Alternative Dispute Resolution, ensuring swift and equitable access to justice for all.

Governor Kefas called upon all citizens of Taraba State to unite for the collective advancement of the state. 

He expressed unwavering confidence that 2025 will be a landmark year of greatness for Taraba State, fueled by the dedication of his administration and the support of every Taraban.
