PDP Governors’ Forum Meets in Asaba, Delta State

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) will hold its first meeting of the year today, Thursday, January 30, 2025 (Gala Night), with the main session scheduled for Friday, January 31, 2025, at the Government House, Asaba, Delta State, aptly known as the Big Heart of the Nation.

The meeting will focus on reviewing the state of the nation, assessing the party’s position, and evaluating governance in PDP-controlled states.

Key national issues such as the deteriorating economy, threats to democratic governance, and the alarming state of insecurity across all geopolitical zones will be rigorously examined. As always, the Forum will propose alternative policies to reverse these troubling trends and offer Nigerians a pathway to stability and progress.

In addition, the PDP governors will continue their tradition of peer review, benchmarking, and knowledge sharing on governance best practices. As the last line of defense against the incompetence, policy flip-flops, and lack of vision of the APC-led Federal Government, PDP governors remain beacons of hope, delivering tangible democratic dividends through transformative projects and policies that directly impact Nigerians.

The meeting is hosted by His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, while the Forum’s Chairman, His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, Governor of Bauchi State, will preside over the deliberations. All PDP governors are expected to be in attendance.

Dr. Emmanuel Agbo, Ph.D., FNMS, MFR
Director-General, PDP-GF
