Governor Fintiri Arrives Ghana For Inauguration Of Mahama

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, has arrived in Accra, Ghana, to attend the inauguration of President-elect John Dramani Mahama.

The ceremony is scheduled to take place on Tuesday at the iconic Black Star Square.

Governor Fintiri is joined by the Governors of Taraba, Plateau, Zamfara, and Delta States, who are all guests of President-elect Mahama. 

The Governors met on Monday to discuss key issues ahead of the inauguration.

Mahama's inauguration marks a significant milestone in Ghana's democratic journey, as he returns to the presidency eight years after losing power. 

He campaigned on a promise to revitalize Ghana's economy and won the presidential election with his main rival conceding defeat after partial results showed Mahama was on course to win.



The Governors met on Monday to discuss key issues ahead of the inauguration.

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities.
