CONDOLENCE MESSAGE TO GOVERNOR OLUSEYI MAKINDE ON THE DEMISE OF HIS SIBLING, ENGR SUNDAY MAKINDE

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) under the Chairmanship of H.E. Senator Bala Mohammed, CON, the Governor of Bauchi State, on behalf of the member governors, sympathize with His Excellency, Governor Oluseyi Makinde FNSE of Oyo State, on the death of his elder brother, Engr. Sunday Makinde, 65, in the early hours of Friday, January 24, 2025.

2.  The Forum deeply sympathizes with our member, family and the good people of Oyo State, at this moment of grief recalling his good values of kindness and hard work to humanity, which positively impacted people while he was alive.

3. The Forum joins the family, friends, the people of Oyo State and other numerous sympathizers in prayer for fortitude from the Almighty God to bear this loss as well as for the repose of his humble soul.

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities. He said the contracts included the design and construction of flyover bridge at Enerhen junction to Marine Gate; study, design and construction of road expansion and improvement works on the section of the DSC/NPA Expressway from Effurun roundabout to DSC roundabout including construction of a 3/4 Cloverleaf interchange at the existing Effurun Flyover Bridge as well as two pedestrian bridges.
