Buhari Clan, Dan Fodio Descendants Commiserate With Gov. Tambuwal Over Monarch's Death


The clan of Buhari, who are also descendants of the Islamic Re-awakening leader, Shehu Usman Danfodio, Monday, condoled Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal,  over the death of the District Head of Tambuwal, Alhaji  Mainasara Sa'adu Dahiru.


The delegates who were led by the Sarkin Kudun Sifawa, Alhaji Muhammadu Tambari, said that they were at the Government House, Sokoto, to condole with him and thank him for shouldering all the responsibilties of the late District Head when he battled the sickness that resulted in his death.

He said that the entire descendants of the Buhari family appreciate the gestures of the state government and prayed Allah to reward the governor abundantly.


Responding, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal described the late monarch as humble, pious, humane and a man of an impeccable  character.


Tambuwal further eulogized the late Mainasara, saying he was a highly devout Muslim as well as a beacon of hope and light, whose life and teachings served as great sources of inspiration and direction to many.


The governor urged people of the state and Tambuwal area to imbibe the spirit of brotherhood and forgiveness among themselves.






He added that the loss of the District Head was a great loss  to Tambuwal town, its people and the government of Sokoto state, as well as the country at large.
