Gov. Diri Assures FRCN South South of Support

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has assured the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) of support in actualising the permanent headquarters for the South-South Zonal Station of the FRCN in Yenagoa. 


The Governor who made the promise when top management of the zone visited him at Government House in Yenagoa, said the media remain a very critical partner in democratic governance. 


He also described the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria as the flagship for radio broadcasting in the country, outlining some of the critical role the FRCN plays in informing and uniting the citizens.


Earlier, the Acting Zonal Director of the FRCN South South Zonal Station, Mr. Barikumo Adou, congratulated the Governor on his recent Supreme Court victory and thanked him for appointing a staff of the corporation, Mr. Kola Oredipe, into his administration.


Mr. Adou appealed to the governor to provide office accommodation for the South South Zonal Office to function effectively and deliver on its mandate to the people.
