Fintiri To Revive Boosters Station of ABC, ATV Before 2020 Runs Out For Wider Coverage
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has pledged to revive boosters' stations of Adamawa Broadcasting Corporation and Adamawa Television Corporation, Yola before ending of December this year to enable the two stations cover northern part of the state.
He revealed this in response to request by the Emir of Mubi, Alhaji Abubakar Isa Ahmadu, who led a delegation of stakeholders from the northern part of Adamawa on a thank you visit in the Government House, Yola on Saturday.
He said his administration will ensure that the boosters' stations reach the people of northern part of Adamawa while assuring that he will not relent in taking Adamawa to the desired destination and no amount of challenges will deter him in that regard.
He told the gathering that government remained committed to peace and security in Mubi Zone and Adamawa as a whole and reminded them that security is everybody's business and sought for people to complement efforts of government to arrest crime and criminality.
He charged appointees from northern Adamawa under his administration to put in their best for the progress of the state and counseled the five local government chairmen in the zone to ensure they fill in the gap in security and bring development to their respective areas ravaged by insurgency.
He reiterates that he will never disappoint Adamawa people and he will continue to dedicate himself towards serving the humanity through giving a fair share to all among others and disclosed that government will create viable opportunities to youths.
The Emir of Mubi, Alhaji Abubakar Isa Ahmadu, who was the leader of the delegation while speaking noted with appreciation the giant strides of Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri describing him as trustworthy, religious and humble person per excellence.
He innumerated the salutary and germane achievements of the governor in the areas of security, health, education, civil service and infrastructure development and urged him to maintain the momentum calling on Adamawa citizens to support him.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman Mubi South Local Government Council, Alhaji Jingi Rufai, thanked Governor Umaru Fintiri for appointing one hundred and forty four sons and daughters of the area into key offices of government under his administration.
Alhaji Jingi who is also the State Chairman, Association of Local Governments of Nigeria stressed that the footprints of the governor will remain indelible in the minds of people and history of Adamawa as the only governor that salvaged the state from under development.
Doctor Magai Vimtim Magai, a Senior Lecturer Law at Adamawa State University, ADSU, and member of Government Council, College of Education, Hong, in an interview said Governor Fintiri is building Ribawa Market, Mubi to international standard among other projects.
