Bayelsa Govt releases funds for major projects in the state


... as contractor returns to Igbogene-AIT Outer ring road this Friday


The Prosperity Government has released funds for various projects that will bring about development to the state. 

Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Surveyor Moses Teibowei, announced this while briefing newsmen after the 19th State Executive Council Meeting, at Government House, Yenagoa.


Just as contractor for the Yenagoa - Oporoma road has moved to site, that for the Igbogene - AIT outer ring road will commence work this Friday.



From next Monday, the rehabilitation of internal roads in Yenagoa will also commence.


The rehabilitation of the Opokuma - Sabagreia road is also due to begin.


The state government has also released funds to meet up the operational licensing requirements of the Bayelsa State International Airport.


Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, Hon. Ayiba Duba, insists that the Prosperity Government means well for the people of the state.
