Infrastructure: Gov Matawalle Inspects Gusau Ongoing Roads Construction


The Zamfara State Governor, Hon. Dr. Bello Mohammed MON (Matawallen Maradun), has inspected the ongoing construction works of Gusau township roads awarded by his administration. 



The governor who inspected Tashar Magami - Yar-Dantsi road, Fira da Kwadi-Cocin Kwano road and Unguwar Yarima road expressed his satisfaction with the quality and progress of work. 


Matawalle ordered the company  handling the  construction work of Gusau township roads, NBHH to ensure completion of all roads in the next three months.


He also called on the people of the state to avoid erecting structures on water ways in order to prevent damages during the raining season. 


The governor further reiterated his administration's resolve in providing more social amenities to the state electorate which include the provision of good roads both at rural and urban areas. 


During the inspection visit, the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Buldr Ibrahim Mayana, told the governor that all the Gusau township roads have reached advanced stage of completion and assured that some would be completed in February. 


The governor who received a rousing reception by residents where the projects are sited, trooped out in large number to register their appreciation for the development that is being extended to them as dividends of democracy.


Leaders of the Fira da kwadi-Chochin Kwano road, Alhaji Kabiru Danmasani and Alhaji Maikano Agama Lafiya, said they lacked the right words to thank the governor for constructing the roads for them.


They recalled having requested for the construction of the road even before the creation of the state but to no avail until the coming of the Matawalle-led administration. 


While at Unguwar Yarima, Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad thanked the governor for coming to their aid by saving them from annual water flooding by constructing a road and good water drainages. 


He noted that people of the area suffered from water flooding during raining seasons and compelled residents to remain at home due to fear of what might happen when rain fell. 


He thanked the governor on bahalf of the people of the areas and assured of their continued support and cooperation towards the success of all government policies and programmes. 


The governor was accompanied by members of the State Executuve Council, Sole Administrators of Gusau and Maru LGAs, Hon. Sanusi Sarki and Hon. Salisu Isah Dangulbi, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Yakubu Mohammed Tsafe, Principal Private Secretary, Alhaji Lawal Umar Maradun, Director General Office of the Executive Governor, Lawal Hussein and Director General Protocols, Kabiru Yusuf Gusau, among others.
