Duguri District Hails Bauchi Gov Over Award Of Road Project In The Area


Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State, on Saturday, was applauded for awarding contract for the construction of sixty eight kilometres of road linking communities of Alkaleri and Tafawa Balewa Local Government Areas of the state. 


The District Head of Duguri in Alkaleri Local Government, Alhaji Ibrahim Y. M. Baba, made the commendation when the governor paid a condolence visit to the family of late village Head of Gigera in Duguri District, Alhaji Hassan Hassan, over his demise. 


Alhaji Ibrahim Y. M. Baba said Duguri District being a beneficiary of the ongoing construction of the sixty eight kilometers of road, described the development as one of the landmark legacies of Governor Bala Mohammed in his domain.


The District Head who noted that communities of Duguri District would forever remain grateful to the governor for the road project, said when completed, the road will significantly fast track the speedy development of the area. 


"Your Excellency, the entire people of Duguri District are happy with you especially for the award of contract for road construction. We remain grateful to you for coming to our aid."


Alhaji Ibrahim Y. M. Baba therefore expressed gratitude to Gov. Bala Mohammed for the condolence visit and prayed that Almighty Allah will reward him abundantly. 


Earlier, Governor Bala Mohammed while sympathizing with the family of late village Head of Gigere over the death, said the deceased lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation. 


"We are here on behalf of the Government and people of Bauchi State to condole you over the death of our community leader, late Alhaji Hassan Hassan was one of my pillars in this community", he confirmed.
