Women Development Centre Banigo Desires Early Completion
Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. Mrs. Ipalibo Harry Banigo says she is desirous to see the speedy completion of the Women Skills Development Centre for Asari Toru’ and its contiguous Local Government Areas.
Dr. Banigo stated this while playing host to the Kalabari Interface Committee at the Government House, in Port Harcourt on Friday, 22nd January, 2021.
Dr. Banigo who disclosed that, the women in the Kalabari area would benefit immensely from the skills, expressed delight that the Amayanabo of Kalabari brought the matter to her earlier, which was followed up to the point it is.
The Deputy Governor who commended the Chairman of Asari Toru’ Local Government Area, Mrs. Alaso John bull Obi for inaugurating the interface committee, also paid tributes to the Late Former Chairman of Asalga, Chief Odiari Princewill for his support in the quest to actualize the project.
Dr. Banigo, while congratulating members of the kalabari Interface Committee, for their peaceful disposition, dedication, foresight and commitment in the development of our women, urged them not to rest on their oars until the project is 100% completed.
“It is not only to say that we have been inaugurated, the committee has a mission and a vision to fulfil, so I want you to stay committed till we get to the finishing line and then we will be fulfilled that we have left a legacy for our people”. Dr. Banigo further stressed.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Kalabari Interface Committee, Mr. Hilary Lilly John Bull expressed gratitude to the Deputy Governor for attracting the project to the Kalabari Kingdom.
“You have succeeded in bringing the Women Development centre in Buguma being the headquarters of the Kalabari Kingdom, as this is very important to the Kalabari Kingdom”. Hilary John Bull stressed.
It would be recalled, that the State Deputy Governor, Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo facilitated the location of the Women Skills Development Centre in Buguma, as part of the corporate social responsibility of Total and E&P.
