PDP Govs Forum Condoles Gov. Okowa Over Father's Demise

A deeply-saddened PDP Governors Forum has condoled with H.E. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State on the death of his father and Patriarch of the Okowa Family, Sir Authur Okowa who passed on peacefully Thursday morning at the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba.



In a statement signed on behalf of the forum by its Director General, Hon. C.I.D. Maduabum, the Forum expressed its heartfelt condolences to Governor Okowa, the immediate family and the good people of Delta State.

CONDOLENCE MESSAGE ON THE DEATH OF YOUR FATHER, SIR ARTHUR OKOWA


The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) under the Chairmanship of Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal CFR, the Governor of Sokoto State is deeply saddened at the news of your father, Sir Arthur Okowa's death.


2. It is with heavy heart that we express our condolences to you and your family at this moment of grief.


Your father will be greatly missed not only by the Okowa family but also the Government and people of Delta State and Nigeria, as he was not only the patriarch of the family but a repository of wisdom and a wonderful guide over the years.


3. He will always be remembered for his exemplary and disciplined life, as a community leader, a firm Christian faithful, a professional whose teaching services had touched so many and yielded numerous dividends in the society and the nation at large, of which you are a shining example.


4. It is painful to miss our dear ones, especially a caring father like Pa Sir Arthur Okowa. But it is a path that all living souls must pass through.


5. Be consoled that he will find rest in the bosom of the Lord. 


6. We pray that God gives you the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and strengthen you in your endeavours.


7. Be assured of our unshakable support and solidarity at this sad time.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families.
