Insecurity: Tambuwal Urges Nigerians To Turn To God

It was a time for sublime and sober reflections on the security situation in the country as Gov. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal craved the indulgence of Nigerians to turn to God for solutions to the myriads of challenges occasioned by insecurity across the nation.

Gov. Tambuwal made the call on Saturday in Port Harcourt while commissioning the about 86 kilometers Port Harcourt-Bonny-Bille waterways jetty in Port Harcourt constructed and expanded by the administration of Gov. Wike.

According to him, governments everywhere cannot be able to achieve any appreciable level of development for the benefit of the governed if there are no certainty and assurance that people and their possessions will be safe.

"This is part of the challenges that we are facing as a nation. It is our prayer that, as a nation, we shall soon see the security of lives and property being restored in Nigeria."

He observed that the accomplishments of Gov. Wike in human capital development and infrastructural development "couldn't have taken place if there is no safety and security."

Stressing that Wike's administration is excelling because it has succeeded "in bringing back the security of lives and property in Rivers State," which is "key and fundamental" to its overall development, Gov. Tambuwal called on the people of Rivers State to continue to support him.

"We are very proud of your achievements. We are very happy to associate with you. We that are your friends have always have this confidence in you, that you are someone that is very committed, once you believe in a cause you go for it and you are a goal-getter," he said.
