At the event which held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Swali, Yenagoa, the body of Christ unanimously endorsed the Governor for second term in the forthcoming November 11 election.

The Chairman of CAN in the State, Very Revd. Joseph Opelema, who led other fathers of faith to the session commended the Governor for his developmental strides in the state and urged him to do more when re-elected.

The Governor in his remarks, appreciated the Christian body for the endorsement and commendation, assuring the body of his government commitment to consolidate on his good works when reelected.

"I want to say a very big thank you and appreciate the Almighty God who has made today possible. This government is actually the government of Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. We profess and announce it in every gathering. In everything we do, we seek and call upon Jesus Christ.

I thought I would come here to seek for the endorsement of my fathers, brothers and sisters in the Lord. But you didn't even wait for me to ask for endorsement, on your own, you have already endorsed me.
And so, let me on behalf of a grateful government and party, say a very big thank you to the Church and the leadership of the Church for this endorsement you have given today. We will not take it for granted. It is a motivation for us to do more."
Dignitaries in attendance at the interactive session were the Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abraham Ingobere, Chairman of PDP, Bayelsa State, Hon. Solomon Agwana, Member Representing Yenagoa Constituency 1 in the State Assembly, Hon.
