Bayelsa: PDP Governors Forum Hails Gov. Diri’s Triumph

....Says Apex Court’s verdict reflects people’s will 

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors' Forum, PDP-GF, under the chairmanship of His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed (CON) and Governor of Bauchi State on behalf of his colleague-Governors heartily congratulates H.E Senator Douye Diri on the Supreme Court judgment affirming his re-election at the November 2023 elections for another four (4) years as Governor of Bayelsa State.

2. The Forum welcomes the verdict as a confirmation of truth over falsehood, a vivid affirmation of the will of the Almighty God in the affairs of Bayelsa State, a triumph of democracy and due process in Nigeria; and without fear or bias, a seal over the choice of the Bayelsa people whose will and determination have finally seen the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel; and for these, we commend the apex court for not only rightfully upholding the judgement of the Election Petitions Tribunal, but also consolidating on the Appeal Court’s earlier verdict.

3. The Forum celebrates the people of Bayelsa State and the PDP faithful for their dedication, steadfastness and the massive support that they gave Governor Diri during the Governorship Election and thereafter for standing firm with him and the party through the thick and thin; and as we return all gratitude to the Almighty God, we pray that He grants him unceasing guidance, wisdom, protection and good health for the enormous task ahead.

Education Remains a Top Priority of Our Policy Thrust: Gov. Fubara

The Rivers State Government says it will continue to place education as one of the top most priorities of its policy thrust. Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara stated this during the 34th Convocation Ceremony of the University of Port Harcourt on Saturday 24th February, 2024. Governor Mutfwang Crowns New Ngolong Ngas, HRH Nde Jika Golit

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has performed the coronation of the New Ngolong Ngas, Nde Jika Golit. The ceremony is coming nine years after the demise of the late Ngolong Ngas, Nde Joshua Dimlong. Governor Mutfwang, who performed the presentation of staff of office and certificate to the New Ngolong Ngas at the Pankshin Township Stadium, praised the Ngas Nation for a rancor-free selection process of the new Ngolong Ngas.
