Adamawa State Government Distributes Fertilizer to Boost Food Production

In line with Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's 11-point agenda to enhance food security, the Adamawa State Government has commenced the distribution of fertilizer to farmers across all Local Government Areas.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture, Dr. Thakma Sini Amos, disclosed this to newsmen, stating that the fertilizer will be convey from the Local Government, ward and units.

Dr. Amos further explained that the distribution process will be ongoing throughout the year, with additional farm implements also scheduled for distribution. To ensure equitable access, the government has decided to sell the fertilizer to farmers at a subsidized rate of 50%.

Commending Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri unwavering commitment to the agricultural sector and the overall well-being of the state's citizens, the Special Adviser appealed to the people of Adamawa to support the Governor's efforts in transforming the state.

The initiative is expected to significantly boost agricultural production, contributing to food sufficiency and economic growth in Adamawa State.
