On 33rd Anniversary, Gov Agbu Kefas Promises To Make Taraba Better Destination

As Taraba State marks its 33rd anniversary, governor of the state, Agbu Kefas has promised not to relent in his drive to build a state that will be a better destination for indigene and visitors alike.

This is even as he reiterated the resolve of his administration to invest more in the state's younger population and in turn collaborate with critical stakeholders and experts in the affairs of the state's economy.

Hear him: "Three decade and three years ago, precisely on August 27, 1991, the sub-national political administration landscape of Nigeria witnessed a significant change when Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, created Adamawa and Taraba states from Gongola alongside seven others.

"This is my second commemoration of Taraba’s anniversary in office, and it has been the tales of #MovingForward. We are without challenges but we have fashioned ways to surmount them with contemporary solutions.

"We celebrate our founding fathers and those who have kept our identity as a people cum State. After 33years, we are better off where we started from and our administration will continue to strive to make Taraba State a better destination – safe and prosperous for indigenes and visitors" he started.

Continuing, Gov Kefas Agbu added that, "Significantly, we have improved the outlook and standard of education, health care services are being upgraded and Agriculture is receiving the required attention and aid. The security of lives and property is a big task and we are working with all agencies saddled with such responsibility, to be on their best form to keep Taraba safe for all.

"We have decided to invest more in our younger population and in turn collaborate with critical stakeholders and expects in the affairs of our economy. Infrastructural development is ongoing and in no long time, we will be witnessing massive development across all sectors of our society".

He expressed appreciation for the candour in feedbacks and promised to keep listening to the demands of the people while understanding their yearnings.

He assured that the yearnings will be greeted with positive responses.

"We have great prospects ahead of us, and we are in the process of galvanizing all Tarabans – home and abroad, to support and reinforce our drive for a better Taraba.

We are #MovingForward and we will keep building the society of our dreams" he concluded.
