Power Supply: We Are Working On A New Independent Power Plant- Gov. Diri

 ...assures of sustainable power supply 

The Prosperity Government is a very responsive administration.

In December 2023, Governor Douye Diri, assented to the Bayelsa State Electricity Law 2023, to ensure that the state sets up its electricity outfit to not only generate and distribute but also commercialize power.

Wednesday, at the State Executive Council meeting, Governor Diri, announced that the process to establish an IPP has since commenced to gather all the partners in the project.

The Government is working very hard to secure the agreement for the gas supply from the operating companies and the Federal Ministry in charge.

The government had earlier encountered serious bottlenecks on the gas supplies; that same gas deposited all over Bayelsa State. This is sad though as hope rises to secure the gas supply.

While the Governor regretted the current blackout in the state, though not caused by the government, all hands are on deck to restore public power supply soon working with the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN.

Education Remains a Top Priority of Our Policy Thrust: Gov. Fubara

The Rivers State Government says it will continue to place education as one of the top most priorities of its policy thrust. Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara stated this during the 34th Convocation Ceremony of the University of Port Harcourt on Saturday 24th February, 2024. Governor Mutfwang Crowns New Ngolong Ngas, HRH Nde Jika Golit

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has performed the coronation of the New Ngolong Ngas, Nde Jika Golit. The ceremony is coming nine years after the demise of the late Ngolong Ngas, Nde Joshua Dimlong.
