Gov Agbu Kefas Donates N10m, Hilux to Former Badminton Champion, Ephraimu

Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, welcomed two-time African badminton champion, Jinkam Bulus Ephraimu to the TY Danjuma House in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital. 

The Governor in a gesture that will encourage young people to stay focused and highlight the state's abundant resources, presented Jinkam with N10 million and a Hilux pickup van. 

Jinkam’s coach was also rewarded with N5 million cash. 

An excited Jinkam expressed his gratitude to Governor Kefas for previously sponsoring his training in Egypt, which helped him qualify as a world-class badminton coach. He pledged to scout for new talent across all 16 Local Government Areas in the state.

Mrs. Indo Maxson, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Sport, praised the impact of Jinkam’s coaching training on Taraba’s sports sector. Jinkam also acknowledged former Governor Rev. Jolly Nyame for his early support in his career.

The meeting, held at the Plateau State Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos was attended by the principal organs of the party: l NWC, PDP-GF, BOT, NASS Forum, Former Governors Forum, Former Ministers' Forum and other leaders of the party.
