PDP Governors Felicitate Governor Agbu Kefas on 54th Birthday Anniversary

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) under the Chairmanship of H.E. Senator Bala A. Mohammed, CON, the Governor of Bauchi State, on behalf of the member Governors, felicitates with His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, Governor of Taraba State, as he turns 54 years today.

2.  The Forum gladly joins members of his family, friends and the  people of Taraba State at home and abroad in thanking the Almighty God for the love and care, guidance and protection in his private and public life.

3.  The Forum is proud of his administration's significant strides in over a year in the areas of education, healthcare service delivery, culture and tourism, security stabilization, foreign and local investment, agriculture and agro-based prioritization,  MSME promotion, civil service reforms and improved staff welfare and wages, empowerment of women and youths, amongst others.

4. His Free and Compulsory Education Policy and its implementation from primary to secondary school levels, has significantly increased school enrollment and reduced the number of out-of-school children. Annual Convocations are now mandatory for all tertiary institutions in the state to promote timely graduation ceremonies and reinforce academic standards.

5. The state's economy has attracted Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in the mining and agriculture sectors through consistent drive and cooperations; alongside, creating job opportunities, developing talent and skills and ICT via digital literacy programs, and powering small businesses to reach a broader dimension, among others.

6. The Infrastructural enhancement and road networks have transformed Taraba's landscape and improved connectivity and accessibility thus impacting the lives of the people.

7. A revamped healthcare sector has ensured quality and accessible healthcare to all residents of Taraba, who equally enjoy robust security measures to safeguard the well-being of citizens and maintain peace and unity in the state.

8. We pray that the  Almighty God will bless him with more grace and fortitude to continue to lead Taraba State to greater heights.

The PDP Governors’ Forum under the leadership of H.E. Governor Bala A. Mohammed, CON, held an enlarged meeting at the Bauchi State Governors’ Lodge, Tatari Ali House, Asokoro on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Rising from the consultative meeting of the various organs of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the Party resolved as follows: 1. The National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting originally slated for October 24, 2024, has been rescheduled to November 28, 2024. 2. PDP Governors' Forum Urges Collaborative Efforts to Tackle Nigeria's Challenges

At the conclusion of their meeting in Abuja on Monday, February 12th, 2024, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors' Forum, under the leadership of H.E Governor Bala Mohammed, CON, addressed pressing issues affecting Nigeria. The Forum expressed concern over the economic and security hardships faced by Nigerians, urging urgent collaborative efforts between the Federal Government and subnational governments to find lasting solutions. Emphasizing the need for state police, they stressed the importance of safeguards to prevent abuse of power.
