Baze University Abuja Honors Governor Bala Mohammed: Names a Science Medical Laboratory in His Name

In a gesture of deep appreciation for his unwavering commitment to educational development in Bauchi State and across Nigeria, the Baze University, Abuja, proudly announces the naming of one of its distinguished science medical laboratories in honor of His Excellency, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State.

 This honor formally is conferred to the Governor today 9th November,2024 during the university’s 11th convocation ceremony, where esteemed guests, faculty, students, and alumni came together to celebrate this remarkable leader's invaluable contributions to education.







Governor Bala Mohammed’s tenure as Governor of Bauchi State has been marked by a profound dedication to elevating educational standards, fostering innovation, and empowering the youth of Bauchi State and Nigeria. Under his visionary leadership, the state has witnessed substantial advancements in its educational infrastructure, policies, and accessibility, ensuring that quality education is available to all.

Governor Bala Mohammed has consistently demonstrated his commitment to transforming Bauchi State into a hub of academic excellence and intellectual growth. His administration has undertaken significant projects to enhance learning environments at all levels. Through strategic partnerships, increased funding, and targeted policies, Governor Mohammed has established new schools, upgraded facilities, and introduced teacher-training programs to elevate educational outcomes.

In addition, Governor Mohammed has been a staunch advocate for youth empowerment, implementing scholarship programs and vocational training initiatives that provide opportunities for young people to acquire practical skills. These efforts reflect his understanding that a well-educated populace is vital to Nigeria's progress and prosperity.

His commitment extends beyond Bauchi State, as Governor Mohammed is a vocal supporter of initiatives aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s educational framework. In his speech, the founder and new chancellor of Baze University , Sen. Datti Baba - Ahmed, said the university honored Governor Mohammed for his kindness, leadership qualities , love, support and protection of Baze University.

The Special Guest of Honor at the occasion, His Royal Highness Alhaji Muhammad  Hameen Sanusi, CFR, Emir of Dutse unveiled the new Governor Bala Mohammed building.

Governor Bala Mohammed was represented at the ceremony by his Commissioner of Education, Dr. Jamila Dahiru and accompanied by Dr. Nasiru Ahmed Ala, Chairman Bauchi State House of Assembly Committee on Education, Hon. Faruq Mustapha, Commissioner for Special Duties and Rural Development as well as Comrade Mukhtar Gidado, Special Adviser Media and Publicity to the Governor.

In her remarks, Dr. Jamila Dahiru congratulated the Baze University for its exceptional performance across diverse fields and encouraged the University to build on this legacy and strive for even more greater achievements in all endeavors. She further thanked the board and management of the University for the honor done to the entire people of Bauchi State.

One of the take aways of the convocation ceremony was the emergence of one of our own, FARID AMINU HAMMAYO, as the overall best graduating student with a First Class degree in Economics. FARID HAMMAYO is from Bauchi State and son of Hon. Aminu Hammayo, Hon. Commissioner Budget, Planning and Multi lateral Coordination, Bauchi State.

Cognizant of the outstanding performance of FARID Hammayo, the chancellor of the University , Datti Baba - Ahmed made a  personal donation of #20,000,00 to further his education , this is in addition to and automatic employment offer at the Baze University .
